The blues is a mirror of life. It tells the story of ALL aspects of being a human being. That’s what makes the blues the most personal but still, the most universal musical style there is. We all know the blues, right?
If you perform the blues you know that nothing is more important than your ability to reach out and touch the heart and soul of the listeners.
15 years has passed since I discovered the blues of Son House, Charlie Patton, and Robert Johnson and began to study the blues. Over the past eleven years I have toured constantly year after year and I’m still on that mission: to touch people with my blues.
One night in August 2005 I played a gig in the small town Tranås in the south of Sweden.
By coincidence sound engineer Mats Axfors recorded the show. When I heard the result I decided to release some tracks from the show. You will hear some false notes and from time to time the guitar might be a bit out of tune. But you will also hear the sincerity and passion from a man trying his best to play the blues alone without any safety net at all.
Thanks for listening!
